I have already melodramatically described my love of movies that I can get completely immersed in and I would not be me if I didn't at least once post solely for the purpose of mentioning Star Wars. It's not at all sophisticated but as opposed to local social media lore, neither am I. Therefore, absolutely nothing stands in my way of trashing out ruthlessly to the new part of the Star Wars franchise, which I've loved since I was a kid and am not planning to ever stop loving. It's just like one big ass spaced out fairy tale you can absolutely drown in- the visuals, the jokes, the plot twists. They're not difficult films, mind you, but they're so very much alive and pulsing that it's a pleasure to pretend you're part of it. So, typically, I've been neglecting basic needs and important tasks to mooch around tumblr and twitter absorbing tons of comics, memes and wild fan theories from a galaxy far, far away. Why not? I kind of plead innocent because if I walk out of the cinema excited and with my dumb little brain full of visions and ideas, smiling at dialogue bits and the feeling of particular scenes, and happily anticipating what may or may not still happen in the next movie- that's super unproductive, but I guess life isn't always about productivity. Sometimes you just gotta produce some pheromones by laughing like an idiot at your laptop screen at 3 a.m. when you've been browsing fanart and comics and potential future plots for the last six days, and if that keeps you going, it's a good thing- right? RIGHT GUYS?
The drawing is digital and just a mini thing based on my current mood and current favourite colour scheme. It's cliché as heck but so am I, sometimes. Very often, in fact. [roars in wookie]
Who watched The Force Awakens and is geeking out, too? I'm dead for Han but Ben is my favourite name, ever. Sorry.

jglfhsfjkshf 2012
Yeah. So, yeah, well, this is it. This is 2012. I hope you didn't get an epileptic fit at the sight of this picture, if yes, I apologise in advance. I don't know why, since I wrote that song or poem in the last post I feel this kind of stubborn desperado-aggression inside, and I let it out with the brightest colours, the dashiest music... and I'm SO buying myself an acid wash denim jacket- that's not a resolution, that's a plan. And if I'm silly enough, I'll print this drawing on a shirt, haha.
Anyway, I want to say T H A N K S guys, for checking all the weird stuff I post on here, leaving comments and compliments. I wish you a fantastic NYE party, the brightest fireworks and smiles, and successful 2013. See you next year. XX

neon life rascalities
I try so hard to figure out
what the point of all this is
and when I try to find the problem
I find myself not wanting anything
there's vacuum in my ideas
just bits and pieces building themes
too bad you'll sink and drown in daydreams
they're nothing you can swim in
everything goes right and wrong,
left and right straight into foolery
you watch them moving forward
effortlessly they're winning all
of all those things you worship
when you're on your own
that acid washed denim
and brightly coloured trainers
they only mean the universe to you
they're but a wrapping of your sad souls twin
that studded leather, nights and lights
guitars in airports, jokes
that's all you want, I know
that radiant freedom as you go
and not a single chance that you will ever
admit this youthful feeling of perfection
is hard works harvest and a moments' bliss
the jacket saves raw diamonds from detection
at heart, you are the lightest-minded, rascal urchin
to whom this planets rules and expectations seem a maze
you are the real easy- going good-for-nothing
to dreamy nowhere you want the easy way.

reminiscing something that never was
It was all just a dream...
I begin to understand that there is a fairly good reason why I prefer sleeping to being awake- at times like these I occasionally dream of bliss. I did, last night. Images and vibes that made me wake up smiling like an idiot, a feeling of eternity and warmth that ties up a knot in the centre of my chest right now, while I'm remembering it, and makes me fight with tears. Because this light was just a figment of my subconsciousness, an unuttered yearning of my childish mind.
I will go to bed tonight with false hopes- you never dream twice the same, do you- and spend the rest of the evening feeling like a stone... a heavy, grey stone with an adamant core. Have you ever felt like you were going to explode and implode at the same time? Tense like a piano or a harp in a burning house, the very second before the strings burst and shred the whole construction into little pieces of useless wood...
And all because of too much beauty to bear. Beauty in smiling company, in fooling around, in excitement, in the movement of that hand, in the nonchalant way it took mine, in the rustling of that jacket and it's cold surface. In the setting. In the comfort of things going perfectly right and a wish coming true. Thank you, superego, you made my morning and ruined my day and my evening, so thank you very, very much, indeed.
People say one should find that comfort in the little things in life, but I find this slightly problematic: you don't see the moon when the earth's shadow covers it, and knowing it's there doesn't really help the darkness. But what is most frustrating: that dream will never, ever become reality.
Good night.

is not reality a dream we wake up from?
"O God, I could be bounded it a nutshell
and count myself a king of infinite space,
were it not that I have bad dreams."
W.S., Hamlet
This fascination with Hamlet knows no end, might well be that I realised I'm just as much of a 'man who couldn't make up his mind' as dearest Lord Hamlet.
What exactly was my tragic flaw, then?
How is my story going to end?
Is it really going to be a tragedy?
I sincerely hope- no.
I am so, so tired, I need rest and sunshine. That's why I'm going to- oh, the irony!- Denmark in August which I'm really looking forward to. But for now, I'll keep mulling over this hamletesque melancholy and watch out for bits of sunshine in this godforsaken country.

canned life
He was
staring at a candle burning down for about an hour. Staring out of the window,
seeing nothing but the white wall of the house next door. Lying on the floor and staring at the ceiling as the sun set and the world was dipped into bluish grey for
the next six hours.
He was
thinking.
What was
the sense of that entire time passing? What was the sense of him hanging
around, either not doing anything particular or just fulfilling his duties as a
middle class white European- studying, paying bills, going in and out of the
flat for unimportant issues…existing.
He wasn’t
sure if on this planet it was at all possible to add something to this plain
existence, wherever he looked and whatever he could think of- problems and
colourless regularities. If he were a millionaire, what would change in that
scheme? He’d have other problems and still die of boredom. If he were homeless?
Die of hunger or some strange disease.
Oh
happiness, where had it gone? He was puzzled. How on earth did he forget how to
be happy? He imagined his inner pessimist preaching to his timid inner
optimist: “There’s no way of getting around it, finally you realised it! I
always told you so…” He shook his head in slight panic. No, this wasn’t
possible! This couldn’t be true. Other people were happy, they couldn’t pretend
a thing like this, the world couldn’t be that cruel…
It was
summer and it was almost dark outside, his favourite time of the day- all the
lights that went on, window by window, the cool air, the beautiful lilac sky, a
marvelous play of colours enhanced by all those particular evening noises and
smells, that tickled hopes and expectations deep inside him, that allowed him to
take a deep breath as in preparation for the day to come, that made him forget
about the drab, locked up labyrinth world of his mind and just watch the
spectacle.
As ever so
often he took his bicycle out of the cellar and went for a ride through the
cities’ busy streets, enjoying beeping cars, traffic lights, strangers’ faces,
occasional bits of music coming from shops or street musicians and the general
pleasant noise and chaos.
His usual
destination were the hills outside the city where he could sit down in the
grass and spend an hour or two looking down at the humming town and letting the
wind tousle his hair, the soughing sound being disturbed only by a few lonely
crickets. Yes, he loved it. This summer evening ritual was like inhaling,
swallowing life, chewing on happiness. This very happiness he missed when he
drowned in daily sorrows, hour by hour and week by week.
…So often have people dreamt of saving great moments in jars, to open them whenever they
felt miserable and to take a sniff of a different place and time.

lift between the pitfalls
He looked outside. Now this was a life! Nothing but trees and birds if you look through the north windows and so much boredom made of concrete on the south side you'd rather not describe it. He sighed. Lucky were the ones whose houses were surrounded by blossoming life. By busy streets and the humming noise of rush hour city traffic. The ones who could hear their neighbours blasting great music from their flats, music that promised the world; the ones who saw colours and flashing lights 24/7.
For a few minutes he allowed himself to imagine being one of them, till Reality cleared its throat politely and tapped him on the shoulder. "Coming," he mumbled as to someone calling him and returned to going through the latest bills on his desk. Reality nodded benevolently and went away to take care of another dreamer.
As soon as he felt that he was alone, he stopped taking notes and writing down numbers, but started singing softly: "Winding your way down on Baker Street..."
...Surely the people he envied had his own problems, didn't they?

too much in it for me to find a proper title- untitled #5
One of the songs that are going be featured on his next album. Sounds great. He's so wonderful, yet his story is so disquieting.
Pete, it's a cruel, cruel world, but just keep going on.

fancy an adventure?
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if you could do whatever you'd like to- no financial limits, no time limits, no annoying responsibilities to hinder you... absolute freedom. What a life, air in abundance, the vast ocean in front of you, if you like, wind, speed, joy, big cities, lights, traffic, sunshine... what a life.

where life always takes place
You could pick whatever place on this planet, if you need to pick one you'd never get tired of. People say that I say I wouldn't get tired of London because I don't have to live my life there on the regular, but I think they are wrong. That city starts a happy- making- process somewhere inside, and no, I'm not exaggerating and not being poetic. If you can walk down streets for hours and hours, and feel better with every step, if you're smiling like an idiot while walking- what other proof could you need? Golden roof tops, the wind at the river, all the things that you know are hidden somewhere in the core of the city- people, places, events- there' s all there what I need be happy.

Londonesque day #5
On this last day we would completey spend in London it was the most reasonable thing to just spend it on inhaling the city air and wander around to see the town from all possible angles.
Therefore this post is more about photographs than about what I have to say about it.
Places I went to:
Pete Dohertys (former?) house in Whitechapel, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Southbank. I basically crossed the whole inner part of the city on feet, which wasn't more exhausting than exciting. Look at what I saw and captured!
A street in Whitechapel, East London
Collingwood House, where Petey live(d?)
I couldn't resist checking out the inner side of the house, and the middle door of the second row is (was?) his!
No, I'm not a stalker. His flat door, a close-up. :D
<3
Still Whitechapel.
Covent Garden
On my way down to Trafalgar Square.
Trafalgar Square, National Gallery
Love Londons' fauna.
It was getting late.
Looks so vivid.
View from the Bridge near ... was it Waterloo?
Southbank.
One of my best shots.
Millenium Bridge.
Our group later that evening in a pub.

portrait of an encounter
ANOTHER SHORT STORY!
Portrait of an encounter
Airports
are strange places to meet. So many so different people run around there, that
it is almost impossible not to discover anything that one would find somehow worthy
of note, whether it be exotic dresses, dangerously large hard-shell cases,
extraordinarily loud tirades in strange languages, or other little pieces that
make up the large creature an airport is, which make it the exceptional place
it is. Among these many jigsaw puzzle pieces there are light and dark ones,
patterned, plain, large and small and dozens of others, and once I found one
that just got out of line; how, this I cannot explain myself; one that had the
charisma of a riddle and that immediately stroke my eye- his face.
Actually,
he was dressed completely ordinarily: dark jeans, dark shirt and dark jacket. Dark
brown, tousled hair, dark eyes, like coffee without milk. Dark, I can not
describe it differently, was the effect his appearance had on me, and maybe
that was the reason why I looked over to him so conspicuously inconspicuous for
such a long time.
The first
few minutes, in which this young man caught my eyes like a magnet, I thought
feverishly, what could be the reason, for next to him there was a big African
family in their best holiday mood waiting for their airline tickets and had
just started to sing a happy song. It was probably his serious facial
expression. No, it was this concentrated gaze towards nowhere, the look in his
eyes that left no doubt that the thoughts in his head were not of this world.
He stood
upright in the queue, and seemed in some way so unreal that I got goose bumps
everywhere.
Do you
know those movies where phantoms wander around unnoticed and unseen by humans?
As I looked at him now, this young man, I had the feeling he was as a ghost and
no one else could notice him. A fantastic and very uncomfortable thought; I
looked carefully at all the people around us.
But
indeed, I found that actually not a single pair of eyes fixed him in this way
as mine, actually, no one was looking at him, no one at all. The African family was just singing too excitedly, that had to be the reason. Just like some people are
simply not able to stop snacking out of biscuit tins, once they have started, I
could not stop to look at him furtively. He didn’t notice it, fortunately- he
did not move at all. He had a beautiful face with high cheekbones and a
finely-cut nose.
"Your turn! Lord God, where are you with your
thoughts? Already on vacation? ", someone said behind me, so stridently
that I winced. An "I’m on it,” muttered I moved forward and laid my papers
on the table and my bag on the scales for hand luggage, I did it clumsily,
because I always looked around for my phantom man, for some reason I had fear
he would just disappear. The woman behind me had snapped at me again. "Can
you ever stay on task? You are done! "This time I allowed myself to tell
her that it was not my problem if she had ants in her pants, and went away to stow
away my ticket and my papers. Then I looked back to the queue next to me-he was
no longer there, the charismatic stranger. I looked in all directions, but he
wasn't to be seen anywhere. That made me a bit puzzled, it had been many other peoples’ turn before him- how
could he have been ready faster than me? I was a little disappointed, why, I
did not know. Basically, I would have only been able to stare at him a few
minutes longer, no more. Then he would have been gone, in a plane, I in another
one, and both on the road, possibly in opposite directions. This idea was
brutal, I had had in mind to draw him, to try to capture that on paper what I
had seen. How should this work without a picture that I could save in my mind
for goodbye? A feeling like a missed train or an unfinished exam turned in; I
set myself sullenly in motion to kill some of the time until departure,
with a magazine and maybe a cup of coffee, it was still much too early in the
morning.
Of
course, the coffee shop was full to overflowing, a mob of over a dozen people
cavorted in the too-small shop, rustled with bakery bags and newspapers, and
tripped over dogs and suitcases of the other and it took just awfully long
until the waiters handed the coffees, cappuccinos and Lattes over the counter,
which didn’t particularly improve my mood in that moment. I could not help recalling
an image of this face in my mind, or at least trying. What exactly attracted me
so much it seemed like a spell? I was not sure, I just saw these eyes in front
of me, they partook something of the deep sea, the kind of depth, where only
these creepy-looking fish live, with glowing tentacles, where there reign
silence, darkness and high pressure.
"Uh ... Excuse me? What do you want to
order? "Damn, I missed out again that I was next on line. Incredible, what
effect a five-minute sight could have on me, hopefully I was not the only
person who reacted like this sometimes; whose fantasy and imagination painted such
strange ornaments around ordinary things. It could
also just be a song that made me fall in such daydreams, or a movie character, or a book, or a
landscape, or a stay in a city whose atmosphere sparked something in me. Afterwards
I could be totally incapacitated for hours- so much for my reaction ability,
communication skills or simply for my mind. Just like now. I ordered a
cappuccino and watched out for a free table; like all the others in the queue,
I had no desire to drink while standing or waiting on a bench in the airport
building.
A tiny table at the display case was still free, and as soon as I held the paper cup in my hand,
I hurried towards it, causing a murmur from the other people waiting- they had
all hoped to get there. Very well, I had noticed this grumbling, which meant I
probably slowly came around. Nevertheless, I took my sketch pad out when I had
set myself and made a feeble attempt to
draw the stranger I saw earlier, but I just couldn’t reproduce an overall
picture.
Something
was always wrong; either the contour of the face or the neck was too long or too
short, or anything else wrong with the proportions, or whatever-I just didn’t
know it so well, myself. So I sat for like a quarter of an hour, deepened in
restless scribbling, again erasing and pulling out of sheets, as I was asked,
in English: "Excuse me, is the place still available? Everything else is
already occupied." I lifted my head and winced. He was standing in front
me, and the deep- sea eyes looked at me quizzically. "Uh," I
stammered, "certainly, yes, please sit down..." He sat down and
looked me over, and I pulled out the pencil. This time the picture would get
finished.

you're invited to dream
When I was a child, I had an encyclopedia about geography, and there was a picture of a big city, probably New York, that looked like this. And everytime I looked at it I got a feeling of adventure, of excitement and of hope; hope, that there are beautiful, stunning and unknown places to discover and that in the end everthing would be cool.
So, that's why I painted this. I hope you like it. Oh, and I apologise for having this in such a bad quality, I suppose my camera was in a bad mood today...
