impressions impressed the impressive impressible

Yeah, thoughts go to infinity, dreams are high up in the sky, the rest isn't moving. A mind full of cats. A spring full of rain and green leaves. A startling need in colours and tea. Excitement takes turns with melancholy. It's strange, I just kinda want to lay down and ... I don't know, I just sit here and listen to music.

..."Look how the contours match, even the colours. We should have some pictures taken of us together, close-ups, you know, the ones where faces touch..." "You're quick to imagine things like that. I don't really see any resemblance." "Come on, don't be a spoiler! We're lucky to hang out, we might as well make art of it. We're artful on our own, we could be artful together. We would be beautifully artful together."

PS: Did you notice the new thingy in the sidebar? Make sure you check out the society6 thing and facebook and tell all your friends, haha. I've got new stuff up there, be curious and spread the word. xx

serene melancholia

Me, a camera that's a lot older than me and a sky that's older than that camera.

a stray cat

Those moments when I find myself sitting on my bed, petrified, suffocating at the thought of all the things that need to be done, things that will happen, things that will follow the latter, things I need to make happen, people I need to talk to, decisions I need to make... the thought of life itself, actually, of the entity of it all tumbling from nowhere upon my poor head. A universe, an endless chain of events and changes. My brain steaming, my eyes widened with terror and my tongue unable to move for a few moments. Weird? Oh well... this is me. I guess I'm something of a stray cat: I don't want any obligations, any responsibilities... aimlessness is all there is.

wild and analogous

VoilĂ , this is what happens if I find a camera and a few spare rolls of film. What say? I think the last picture isn't even that bad. I like that camera, might annoy you with lots of pointless pictures soon. Though- ...no, I won't tell you...yet.

an idea of photography

Yeeees peeps, I'm not dead. My head is a bit exhausted at the moment, and there's nothing I did that's worth blogging about, so I'll just share an observation with you.

There's quite a few photoblogs around now, because it seems to have become a fashion to be a photographer. But mostly it's only rich parents' kids with expensive cameras taking pictures of themselves and things they consider artistic, and there's nothing more behind it, and the photos don't even look good. Another category are people, who do have an expensive camera, but also have something like a sense of right proportions or whatever, so their photos are pleasant to look at, and in some way beautiful, but that is not everything a photo is.

In my opinion, a perfect photographer is someone who can capture bits of life without having to compose something, without having to ask friends to pose for him. Without trying to add some notion or sense to something that hasn't got it. Someone who has an eye for spectacular moments in an otherwise unspectacular life.
As an example I'd like to recommend this blog, so you see what I mean:

Oh, and one thing I'd like to stress: I'm not a photographer.

inside

Found a picture recently which so perfectly describes my state of mind and the inside of my head I was surprised.

Londonesque day #5

On this last day we would completey spend in London it was the most reasonable thing to just spend it on inhaling the city air and wander around to see the town from all possible angles.
Therefore this post is more about photographs than about what I have to say about it.
Places I went to:
Pete Dohertys (former?) house in Whitechapel, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Southbank. I basically crossed the whole inner part of the city on feet, which wasn't more exhausting than exciting. Look at what I saw and captured!

A street in Whitechapel, East London
Collingwood House, where Petey live(d?)
I couldn't resist checking out the inner side of the house, and the middle door of the second row is (was?) his!
No, I'm not a stalker. His flat door, a close-up. :D

Still Whitechapel.

Covent Garden

On my way down to Trafalgar Square.

Trafalgar Square, National Gallery
Love Londons' fauna.

It was getting late.

Looks so vivid.
View from the Bridge near ... was it Waterloo?

Southbank.

One of my best shots.

Millenium Bridge.

Our group later that evening in a pub.
In my opinion, these were some of the best photos I've EVER made.
