Had a filmy day today at the university, three courses- three films. My personal discovery of the day: Hamlet. The 2000 version by Michael Almereyda. The reviews weren't too good, but I don't understand why- I found it unexpectedly dreamy and vivid, not boring at all.
The most striking thing is that the action takes place in contemporary New York, Hamlet is a film student and his father was the executive of a company called Denmark Corporation, but the text is original Shakespeare. I HIGHLY recommend it!
